Caveman EDC (Jesse Pauley)

My name is Jesse Pauley, and I'm from West Virginia. I have a beautiful wife and three amazing sons who mean everything to me.

I've always had a passion for pocket knives. Growing up, my dad and grandfathers always carried them, and I have great memories of my grandfather sharpening our hunting knives for us. Knives weren't just tools to us — they were part of everyday life.

In 2021, I discovered the Facebook knife community, and not long after, I created Caveman EDC as a place for people to hang out, show off their EDC gear, talk knives, and buy, sell, or trade. What started as a small community quickly grew into something much bigger.

As I learned more about the hobby and the industry, I developed a passion for designing my own gear. That led to the creation of the Prehistoric Pry Bar — a modern everyday carry tool with a prehistoric attitude.

As the Caveman EDC community continued to grow, a knife company reached out to me about doing a collaboration design. That collaboration became the Caveman — my very first folding knife design.
